It has been just over two years since Sam and Christi purchased Halo Salon, and we could not be more proud to share an incredible milestone. In 2025, Halo Salon was proudly voted New Bern’s Best Hair Salon, Best Nail Salon, Home of the Best Hair Stylist, and Home of the Best Nail Technician. This recognition means the world to us and reflects the love, trust, and support of our amazing community.

From day one, Sam and Christi have been driven by a shared passion for making people feel beautiful, confident, and valued. Over the past two years, you’ve likely seen Sam at the front desk, keeping operations running smoothly, while Christi is out in the community, reminding everyone that Halo is a locally owned, neighborhood salon built on relationships and care.

In addition to Halo Salon, Sam and Christi also navigate their real estate company, balancing multiple businesses with the same dedication and heart. Having grown up working in his family’s restaurant, Sam learned the importance of customer service at an early age. Inspired by his father’s work ethic and attention to detail, Sam has successfully started, managed, and sold several small businesses throughout his career.

Christi is no stranger to ownership and leadership either. While pursuing her love of makeup and aesthetics, she has also helped start and manage multiple small businesses, including a landscaping and property management company, followed by two real estate firms. An active member of her church and the New Bern community, Christi is passionate about giving back to the town that welcomed her and her family with open arms.

As mom and dad of three, aunt and uncle to many, and proud grandparents of five, Sam and Christi place family above all else. They are quick to say their family is their greatest love and proudest accomplishment. Their home is often filled with laughter, friends, and loved ones—especially on college football weekends. While Sam sings classic rock in the kitchen preparing his authentic and delicious Greek meals, Christi makes sure everyone feels welcomed, loved, and right at home.
